Neoclassical Coffee Table

I picked up this gorgeous coffee table on the side of the road.  Of course, I didn't want to appear crazy so I marched up to the door and asked the lady if she was really getting rid of it.  She said yes, then offered to sell it to me.  Then, the really crazy part....I paid her!  I wanted it so bad.  I think it was just about $40 and money well spent for a piece that I really loved.

So, I took her home, cleaned her up, painted her with a satin gray, then distressed her with sanding and Van Dyke Brown glaze.  She is spectacular!  I just love fun pieces like this. I thought about painting her toenails but then decided that just might be a little too much for most people.
