Blue China Hutch

This one took a little while to figure out but I am very happy with the results.  It is actually perfect that it took so long because when I went to distress it, some of the other color choices that I tried out first showed through.

This is how she looked before I got ahold of her.  Well, I had only painted a little blue before I remembered to take a picture.  She was in good shape and I didn't need to make any repairs.

Can you see the citron and dark blue showing through the distressing?  I chose to paint the wire part with citron to blend in with it.

Just had to use my beautiful orchid in these pictures!  I've managed to keep it alive since Mother's Day.  Here is the final photograph:

Ahhh....I'm loving it!  I used Annie Sloan's Duck Egg Blue (over a few different colors as I was waiting for the piece to talk to me).  I distressed it first then used Van Dyke Brown to age it.  Finally, I sealed it with several coats of Polyurethane.  I am asking $175 for this beauty.
