First Post

This is it!   Wondering what "it" really means?   Well, this is the launch of my new life both personally and professionally! I am done sitting around and waiting for life to happen.  This means getting out there and doing all those things that scare me. Some will be big things like starting a new business and some will be small things like walking into a room of people and socializing.   Haha...the socializing actually scares me more than starting a new business!

Well, more about the business and less about the personal for now.   I'm starting a business doing something I LOVE...painting and upcycling furniture. Upcycling, as defined on Wikipedia, is the process of converting waste materials or useless products into new materials or products of better quality or for better environmental value.  (Yes, I think Wikipedia is a perfectly acceptable source for most things!)  

 

Painting furniture (and occasionally mushrooms) is something I've been doing for a long time.  It is something that makes me happy and that is the point, right???  Well, now I am going to start selling it and trying to make a business of it.  If you see something that sparks your interest, just contact me.  As soon as I figure out Etsy and how to ship furniture, I will let you know.  For now, many of my pieces are for sale at Paisley Pearl in Jenks, OK.  If you live in the Tulsa area, we can figure out delivery.

 

I also have started a Facebook page so find it and like it.  It is called, Bohemian Nest.  Now, I've got to get busy and start painting some new pieces!  I picked up several new paint colors at Vintage Market yesterday and I can hardly wait to get started!!!!
