Hanging a Picture

I am the world's worst at hanging pictures!  I usually just grab a hammer, a few nails, then just start eyeballing it until I get it right.  This means lots of extra holes in the walls and a few lopsided pictures.  So after doing that same routine this morning, I suddenly remembered something I learned on Pinterest.  Here is my tutorial on hanging a picture with a better success rate than the previous mentioned method.

Use painter's tape to measure the wall.  (This method is for centering a picture and not for multiple pictures.)

Next, fold the tape over then mark the center.

Measure and place the center of the tape on the center of your picture.

Mark the tape where the nail holes are suppose to go.

Now, just put the tape back up on the wall.  Hammer in your nails just above the marks on the painter's tape.

Viola!  Your picture should be centered and your wall won't be pitted with nail holes.

My confession...this was not how I did it the first time while trying to hang this mirror.  As a result, I have lots of holes in my wall and some broken glass.  I guess I won't be selling this mirror.
