It's been awhile since I've updated or actually even looked at my blog! I'm getting ready to open a little booth at JADE Treasures in Broken Arrow, OK.  It should be set up by May 14. I'm trying to decide on the direction I'll take with it. I'll still have some painted furniture for sale but it's the other things that I need to figure out. Well, this post is short and sweet and I'm leaving you with a picture of two items that I'll have for sale soon.

Bohemian Moon Crested Butte, Colorado

Guess it's about time to get this blog rolling again!  I've taken my furniture business to a whole new level and opened my own business in Crested Butte, Colorado.  It's a long and short story.  Basically just moved here and started the business on a whim!  I was living all happy, wild, and free so when the opportunity presented itself, I just went with it.

I'm so lucky to get to paint furniture all the time.  Here are some of the pieces I've done.  Please check out my Facebook page and like it or share it with your friends.  This business of self promoting is not my favorite thing to do but it seems to be a requirement if I want to grow my business!  You can find my Facebook page at www.facebook.com/thebohemianmoon

English Yellow End Table

Merry Christmas!  Just finished this end table and love how it turned out!  It's so much more fun to paint when I allow myself to be creative and just go with the flow.  I totally get into the process and can't wait to get into my studio each day.  I am selling this table for $125.  It is painted with Annie Sloan's English Yellow, various colors on the table top, distressed, then finished with several coats of Polyurethane for durability.  It has a drawer and could be used as an end table, coffee table, or bedside table.

Playin' in the Paint Vanity

I love painting!  I get to be creative, spontaneous, and intense while I am working on something that makes me happy.  Most of the time, I really don't know how the piece is going to turn out. It's the process of creating a design by following the little bursts of inspiration I get while painting that I find the most rewarding.

This vanity is the result of me finding my passion again.  I quit for awhile because work and life got in the way.  I had also been painting without feeling that passion and it was no longer fun.  Painting this vanity was enjoyable and I could hardly wait to get back into my little studio to get my hands on it each evening after work!

While waiting for paint to dry, I have been busy having fun!  Here are a few of the pictures that I recently posted on my Facebook page, Live Happy, Wild, and Free.  Check it out sometime and see if it is for you.  Posts are inspirational messages meant to spread a little happiness to the world!

Just finished this beautiful red coffee table.  I know it is bright but it will be perfect for someone.  Personally, I am really into bright colors these day.  So when you see me looking all bright and flashy, just smile and go with it!
